Welcome to Bloxwich Cricket Club

Bloxwich Cricket Club is recognised by the ECB for its commitment to being a safe, effective and child friendly cricket club and has been awarded the prestigious ECB Clubmark Accreditation.

The club provides coaching at local schools and has strong links within the community which encourages children to join the club. Boys and girls of all ages and abilities are welcome and will benefit directly from better organised and safer sessions and improved facilities. The club is continually creating new links with local schools and other community groups with a view to creating new partnerships. Teachers and community groups are welcome to contact the club who will work within schools by providing coaches and/or coaching, and will participate in programmes working with and providing support for teaching staff.

In October 2005 Bloxwich Cricket Club became one of the first four Sports Clubs out of 67 in the Walsall Borough to be accredited with the "Walsall Sports Club Standard".

To obtain the accreditation the club has had to evidence that its management and procedures meet the minimum requirements that a sports club must have in place.

The club is now officially recognised by Walsall Council as "a quality Walsall sports club".

The club is an ECB Focus club and a member of the Walsall Cricket Development Group, which introduces cricket into local schools at both primary and secondary level.

We welcome players of all ages and abilities and aim to provide cricketing opportunities for all.

We currently have four men’s Saturday teams that compete in Divisions 1, 1A, 3A and 4 of the Staffordshire Club Cricket Championship and our two Sunday teams, compete in Divisions 1 and 2 of the South Staffordshire Sunday Cricket League.

We have a thriving Colts section with five teams competing in the West Midlands Youth Cricket Leagues at under 17, under 15, under 13, under 11 and under 10 age groups. And new for the 2008 season, a girls under 15 team which will play in the Cannock Chase Cricket Development Group
Girls Cricket League. Each team has an ECB qualified coach as Team Manager, who attends games and coaching sessions.

The club also runs a very successful Women’s section who compete in Division 2 of the Oak Sports Women's Midlands League.
